Tractor & Bushbraai

Farmer Redbeard takes you on a fun adventure through his vineyards and fruit orchards by tractor. Come listen to the fynbos whispering tales of the ox-wagons that passed them by over 300 years ago. The ox-wagon tracks of the French Huguenots are carved into the rocks at Wilde Paarde Kloof. You get to see them on our tractor ride into the Langeberg mountain under which Wilde Paarde Kloof farm resides.

Ancient ruins tell stories of the South African war. This is an opportunity to do some bird watching and protea spotting. At the top of the mountain a snack and sweet wine complement the fresh air. On the way down we stop at an old campsite, where in days to come you can stay overnight in an old bus.

You pass by an old farmhouse that was built in the late 1600’s, only a few decades after Jan Van Riebeek settled in South Africa.

An authentic Bush braai meal with fresh salads around a bush fire awaits you below where more history and memories can be made.

Gazing at the beauty in this valley and on this mountain will leave you refreshed and inspired. This day outing is perfect for year-end functions and birthday parties, it is safe and a comfortable ride for people of all ages and fitness levels.
